Perhaps you think you have nothing to offer those in need. Just remember, God meets the need but you are his instrument. “On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold with strength in my soul” (Ps. 138.3 NIV) God is calling others too. You and your sister, and God - what an awesome team! Women ministering to other women in the strength and power of God is the heart and soul of Alternate Avenues.
That does not mean there is nothing for men. You too are called by God to be examples and trainers of the next generation of men. We are protectors, designed to stand in the path of those being lead to the slaughter. Our clinic is busy enough that nearly every day we have evening hours there are young men that need your help. Our Bridges parenting program is also an excellent way to develop a relationship and truly mentor a young man who may not have an idea on how to be a Godly father. Then there are always those handyman projects, the “goodies” that need to loaded and hauled back and forth every time we have a Baby Bucks Boutique. Protecting and serving the unborn is not just “women’s” work.
